Your Privacy, Clearly Explained

This is a plain-language description of what data WorldClock collects, why, and how we handle it. If anything here is unclear, you can contact us directly.

Last updated: April 23, 2026

The Short Version

WorldClock does not require an account. It does not collect your name, email, or any personal identifier. Your timers, alarms, and city preferences are stored only in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. We do, however, display advertisements from Google AdSense, which follows its own data practices described below.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

None. There are no forms, logins, or account creation on this site. Nothing you type into timers, alarm labels, or the city search is ever sent over the network.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, when your browser loads our pages it transmits standard technical information to our hosting provider, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you requested, and a timestamp. This information is used for basic security monitoring and site reliability.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage for one purpose only: to remember whether you have selected dark mode or light mode. We do not use cookies to track you across sessions or across other websites.

Advertising and Third Parties

This site is supported by advertisements delivered through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

Data We Do Not Collect

Children's Privacy

WorldClock is a general-audience utility suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, this provision is simple to honor.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request information about data held about you, request its deletion, or object to certain processing. Because we hold no personal data about you beyond what your browser passes to our hosting provider in standard server logs, most of these rights do not apply meaningfully to our service. To exercise any right relating to Google's advertising data, please use the Google settings linked above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
